France commits Shs12 trillion investment in Uganda's development

KAMPALA | The Republic of France has pledged to invest a substantial sum of $3 billion (about Shs12 trillion) in Uganda's development over the next three years.
Xavier Sticker, the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Uganda, said the investments will be strategically allocated to key sectors such as agriculture and oil and gas, with the aim of fostering sustainable growth and prosperity in Uganda.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda announced on Wednesday that a constructive meeting was held between Gen Abubakher Odongo Jeje, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Xavier Sticker at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kampala.
The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations.

Odongo extended his gratitude to Ambassador Sticker and the government of France for their steadfast support and partnership, adding that he was looking forward to the successful implementation of the envisaged projects that will benefit both nations.
